There are three or four subkits available for the Berkut. The “A” kit has been divided into two subkits for the benefit of other canard aircraft builders (Long-EZ, ERacer, and Cozy Mark III) who might wish to purchase only the canard or wings, but not both. We do not charge a surcharge if you purchase the kits separately, however there would be a crating fee for each kit and you would pay freight charges for each shipment, rather than one for a complete kit purchase. The Berkut has two accompanying accessory packages and the Berkut FG has one accessory package. These packages include items generally not for sale to the builder or items we insist you have for the airplane.
The A Kit - Molded Canard and Wings/Winglets
The A kit is comprised of the molded canard and wing kits. These kits may be purchased separately at no addtional charge, with the exception of an additional crating fee. For builders unsure about building Berkut, we recommend the purchase of the molded canard kit as the “starter” kit. The techniques and skills used in building the molded canard will be used throughout the entire aircraft. This also gives first time builders an opportunity to learn and make mistakes on inexpensive parts rather on the more expensive ones.
The canard, wing and ailerons skins arrive pre-primed. The shear webs, ribs, spars are molded into a single sheet of flatstock material with the phenolic hardpoints in place. The elevators are pre-cut and an antenna kit is included. Drawings, templates, jigs, videos and a construction manual are provided.

The B Kit - Fuselage, Main Spar, Nose Gear, Cowls
The B Kit contains the fuselage with the firewall bonded, canard forward deck, landing brake with exterior hinge, and cowls, all pre-primed. Also included are the main spar with the hardpoints in place, nose gear doors and strut cover, nose gear well, and a flatstock sheet comprising 25 other components for the B kit. Rudder pedals, nose gear assembly and control sticks are provided. Drawings, videos and a construction manual are included.

The C Kit - Retractable Main Gear, Strakes, and Canopy Frames
The C Kit for the retractable main gear Berkut contains the canopy frames, longerons, middle and outer main gear doors, spinner and strakes, all pre-primed. Additionally the kit includes the left, center, and right engine cooling ducts and inboard main gear doors. A flatstock sheet is provided comprising the ten strake ribs. Retractable main gear components include the gear legs, trunions, “A” arms, and “HT” arms. The engine mount, engine mount ears, canopy hardware and hinges are included.
