Builder's support is provided in numerous ways: construction manual, construction videos, factory support, drawings, builder’s only web site, builder’s e-group. Additionally, we have put together a new parts and suppliers list for your reference.

Construction Manuals

The Berkut manuals are divided into four construction manuals and one general information manual. The manuals are provided on CD-ROM or printed, depending on your preference. Manual updates are provided on the web site for download. The construction manuals include text and drawings of the work to be done in a easy-to-read format.

Construction Videos

VHS videos are provided for each of the four kits. A total of over 60 hours of video taped construction are included, showing the project from start to finish. The videos will allow a builder to build solely from them for the canard and wings, however we prefer the use of the manual and drawings to supplement the videos. While we attempt to make everything as current as possible, we also know that changes do occur and these are much easier changed in manuals and drawings than videos.

Drawings

The Berkut Kit includes a comprehensive set of 82 E-size (30” x 42”), scaled drawings. These drawings go into detail of each part, its name and part number, and where it is located on the airplane. Systems include hydraulic and fuel systems, as well as engine installation. The drawings have been compiled by a professional draftsman through the evolution of the Berkut. Please note: The Berkut is not a plans-built airplane and the sole purpose of these drawings are to assist the builder in the completion of the aircraft. Parts and Suppliers

These are items we recommend for use in Berkut. Some of the more common things such as metal, we have not specified since most builders can find these things easily. We’ve provided you with where to get the items and the part numbers you’ll need to place the order. A number of items require a distributor and therefore may be ordered through us. Many of these parts are by no means exclusive to the Berkut. We have purposely not listed prices because they change often and we felt it best you contact the vendors for pricing. We welcome additions to this list (see Parts & Suppliers).

Builder’s e-group

One of our builders maintains an email exploder that allows subscribed builders to post questions and comments about their project that is then broadcast to the group. It allows builders to keep each other, and the factory, up on new things on the market and how they are progressing on their project. It also allows builders to help each other and keep tabs on each others progress.

Builder’s Only Web Site

In the near future, we will have an area of the web site devoted to builder support that will include a digital photo library of construction photos grouped by its type and location in the manuals, manual and drawing updates, a library of common questions asked by builders, and a place where we can post new things as we develop them and make them readily available to the builder. This area will be limited to builders only (go to Builder's Only page).

Factory Support and Email

We strive to be available for questions as often as possible. In fact, we are available almost everyday and most evenings and weekends. There are times when we need to escape for a bit. You can reach us by phone, fax or email and we will get you an answer as quickly as possible. We know how frustrating it can be to get to a point and not know what to do and help is not easily reached.
